At Milltown-Washburn Water we always strive to give our customers the highest level of customer service.
Water Service Agreements
Information about these forms can be found below on this page.
Establishing Service
New customers must come into the office, at 2911 East Highway 10, present picture identification and sign a water service agreement. Active customers may transfer water services via telephone to a new location of residence. Certain restrictions may apply based on credit history and deposit requirements for telephone transfers. Milltown-Washburn Water reserves the right to require established customers to sign a water service agreement for service activation. The customer or a representative must be in attendance at the service location for the water service turn on (if water meter was turned off). The purpose of this requirement is to protect the customer and property from water loss or damage caused by insecure plumbing. There is no additional charge if turn on is scheduled during business hours 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday except holidays.
Security Deposits
Milltown-Washburn Water requires a security deposit from all customers. Homeowners are required to deposit $75.00 and for Renters the amount is $150.00. Security deposits cannot be used to pay routine monthly charges. Deposits may be transferred to a new location upon a final reading. Deposits will be applied to a final bill if service is no longer required from Milltown-Washburn Water. Deposit refunds will be issued to the account holder only.
Payment Methods
For your convenience Milltown-Washburn Water offers the following types of bill payment.
Office Drop Boxes: payments are removed once a day at 8:00 a.m.
Monday - Friday except holidays. Please do not use drop box if account
is subject to disconnection. Please use drive-up or walk-in.
Payments sent to or made at the main office must be made in the form of checks, cash, or money order. To pay by Credit Card please use our Online or Pay by Phone Options
Ending Service
Milltown-Washburn Water requests two days notice for terminating a service. There is no charge if the termination is done during our business hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday except holidays.
Extended Absences
Customers who will be gone from home for an extended period may elect to have the water meter shut off. This reduces the risk of water loss or damage while the home is vacant. There is no charge to turn off or turn on the meter if done during normal business hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday except holidays. The customer, or representative, needs to be in attendance at the service location for the water service turn on. The purpose of this requirement is to protect the customer and property from water loss or damage caused by insecure plumbing.
Other Services
Milltown-Washburn Water will, upon request, shut off the water meter at no charge during normal business hours if an emergency or need occurs involving the water service.
